Our History

Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara Surrey was started in 1999 under the name of Canadian Singh Sabha Gurdwara by some committed Sikhs who were strictly believers of Guru Granth Sahib and the principles set in Sikh Reht Maryada according to the philosophy of Guru Granth Sahib ji. After the construction of first phase, Gurdwara was opened to public on Jan 26, 2003.

Giani Sant Singh I Maskeeni ji was the first preacher to preach in the Gurdwara at the opening. Since then, so many prominent preachers have preached from the Gurdwara. Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara continuously serving the Surrey Sikh Sangat and abroad. Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara strictly follows the Sikh Reht Maryada approved by Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Amritsar, Punjab, India.
